Being a Mom and a Mentor on Inspired to Action

Inspired to Action...a Chat on Mentoring & Motherhood

Would you like to hear a little bit about why you might hear me call myself Lisa, while my name is Elisa?

Now that is a story!

Or would you like to know what it’s been like for me on my journey of motherhood and mentoring?

It’s been quite an experience of learning and living and discovering that saying yes sometimes means saying no.

Well, come on over to Inspired to Action to listen to my chat with host, Kat Lee.

She’s awesome at making her podcasts feel like a conversation with a friend. So pour yourself a cup of tea, put your feet up for a bit,
and listen in on our reflections about motherhood and mentoring.

  1. Thank you so much for this great podcast! You inspire me so much!

  2. Hi Lisa,

I just finished your podcast with Kat and I appreciate all your authenticity. Today has been one of the roughest days I’ve had in a long time as a single, working, homeschooling mother to three teen/tween daughters. The Lord’s mercies are new every morning and I’m encouraged to seek Him more to let Him continue writing our story. I appreciate your exhortation to not be weary in the journey, to admit where I fall short and seek help when I need it. I too come from a long line of dysfunction but with the Lord’s help, I will leave a different legacy for my children and my childrens’ children. May the Lord continue to bless you!

    • Oh Kim, you are precious to share your heart here. You’re not alone, sister. I actually had an terribly rough day on the very day this podcast aired. Isn’t that ironic. But you are right, God’s mercies are new every morning and we must be willing to humbly embrace them. I pray you will find your strength in Him and not grow weary! Yes, let’s leave a different legacy!

  3. Awesome podcast, great advice and insight.

  4. Elisa, I just listened to the podcast as I prepared for a camping trip. Just what I needed to hear today. First, I couldn’t believe my ears when I heard you mention Disciplines of a Beautiful Woman by Ann Ortlund. I’ve read/devoured everything she’s written. I found her books at the thrift store and felt like God just lead me to them. Second, I’ve been considering Life Coaching so finding your website is a huge blessing. I’m a wife of 27 years, mother of five kids ages 14-21, and a veteran homeschooling mom. I am currently halfway through a Master’s in Counseling at my local university and plan to pursue licensure and join my husband in private practice. I earned an Ed.D. years ago and served in ministry for years. I can’t wait to read your blog and learn from you as I consider adding “Life Coach” to my resume. Thanks for sharing from you heart via the podcast. You are a blessing!

    • Stacy, what a blessing to hear from you and to learn how God is working in your life! I pray I can support you through this site and connect with you in life coach training! If you have any questions, please do ask! And, we’re camping kindreds, although I’m still a rookie learning how to do it for my family!
